Peanut Circuit decorates Figgjo plates and cups.

The Rio porcelain decor has grown out of the artists' own collection of vintage Scandinavian kitchenware – much of it made by renowned Norwegian porcelain factory Figgjo from the 1950s to the 70s. When they were asked to create an art piece for the Stavanger 2008 European Capital of Culture, it was only natural to approach Figgjo, as it just so happens that this factory lies in the vicinity of Stavanger.

The decor draws on the artists' reflections of a trip to Brazil, combined with their take on classical, lyrical Scandinavian kitchenware design. And so three modern, blank Figgjo vessels have become a canvas for the story of bossa nova on a Norwegian midsummer's night, sometime between 1960 and now.

リオ

陶磁器の装飾デザイン「リオ」はアーティスト達の北欧ビンテージ食器のコレクションから発展しました。そのコレクションのほとんどは、名高いノルウェー陶磁器工場のフィッギオ社製品の50年代から70年代のものです。「スタバンゲル2008 欧州文化首都」という祭典のための作品を依頼された時、スタバンゲル近郊に工場を持つフィッギオ工房がすぐに頭に浮かびました。

装飾デザインはブラジルへの旅の思い出から生まれたもので、北欧食器のクラシカルで詩的なデザインと融合しています。三つのモダンで無地のフィッギオの器は、1960年から現在に到るノルウェーのある真夏の夜にボサノバを語る舞台になりました。
